How do I scan a document?
Tap Scan, point your camera at the page, and Paperbeam captures it with automatic
edge detection. Capture more pages to build a multi‑page PDF, then tap Save.
Can I search my scans by their text?
Yes. Paperbeam recognizes text on device and you can search it from the main list. To copy the
text, open a scan and choose Extracted Text from the “…” menu.
How do I protect a scan with Face ID?
Open the scan, tap “…”, and choose Protect with Face ID. After that, opening it needs
Face ID or your passcode.
How do I share a password‑protected PDF?
Open the scan, tap “…”, and choose Share Protected PDF…. Enter a password; the
recipient will need it to open the file.
Does Paperbeam upload my documents?
No. Everything stays on your iPhone. Paperbeam has no account, servers, ads, or tracking. See the
Privacy Policy.
If I delete the app, will I lose my scans?
Yes, scans are stored only in the app. Save important PDFs to Files or iCloud Drive first.
